
A traditional British pound cake got its name because it was made of a pound each of flour, butter, sugar, fruit and eggs. I particularly like this recipe because it is much lighter than most traditional recipes without sacrificing an ounce of taste. Be sure to try the variation for the Lemon Pound Cake.
