Never been a big fan of apple pie or any kind of fruit pie, but my husband grew up on them. Thought I would give this one a try, pairing it with the Pastry Dough crust recipe, and was surprised to find I enjoyed it almost as much as my husband did. You’ll need to make two pie crusts, one for the bottom and one for the top.
My daughter gave me a great compliment after eating her slice. “Mom, this is the best. No, I mean the best in the whole world!”
