Quinoa is a gluten-free, grain-like seed. It’s a superfood, packing 8 grams of complete protein containing all nine essential amino acids in each cooked cup. Quinoa is also a very good source of manganese as well as being a source of magnesium, iron, copper and phosphorus. No wonder this ancient grain was once called the “gold of the Incas”.
